Our Team
Leanne (Lee) Welling

Founder & Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner
Hi, I'm Lee! I am an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner and the founder of Human PBS, with extensive experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with disabilities who have complex support needs.
My work is grounded in a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming approach that views behaviour as meaningful communication. I believe that people do best when they feel safe, understood and supported, and that lasting change happens through compassion, collaboration and evidence-based practice. I work closely with participants,
families, and support teams to develop thoughtful, practical behaviour support plans that respect each person’s dignity, strengths and lived experience. I am particularly passionate about reducing restrictive practices, supporting emotional regulation, and building the capacity of families and professionals to create environments where people can thrive.
Alongside direct clinical work, I value reflective practice and lifelong learning, and I am committed to upholding high standards of ethical, person-centred support within the NDIS framework. At the heart of my work is a genuine respect for the people I support, and a belief that everyone deserves to be met with care, understanding and integrity.
About Human PBS
A trauma-informed approach to Positive Behaviour Support
Human PBS was created to deliver behaviour support that is both clinically rigorous and deeply human.
We specialise in working with individuals who may experience:
-
Autism and neurodivergence
-
Intellectual disability
-
ADHD
-
Complex support needs
-
Trauma histories
-
Behaviours of concern that require skilled assessment and ethical oversight
Our work is grounded in the belief that people do well when they are supported in ways that are safe, respectful and responsive to their needs. We take the time to understand the whole person, their history, environment, relationships and strengths, not just the behaviour itself.
Our Vision
Leading with compassion, evidence and inclusion
Our vision is to lead with trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming practice in the delivery of high-quality Positive Behaviour Support and mental health services.
We envision a world where neurodivergent individuals and people with complex needs are genuinely supported to thrive — through evidence-based practice, clinical excellence, and inclusive, collaborative support. Our work is grounded in compassion, lifelong learning, and meaningful partnerships across professional and community networks.
